About Us

Hey there!

Iā€™m Stephanie Celis - Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Mother of 3 and Founder of Original Mami.

As a registered nurse, I have taken the Nightingale Pledge, which emphasizes my commitment to ethical standards and compassionate patient care. This pledge guides my work as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and infant home care provider, ensuring that I prioritize the health and well-being of mothers and infants. Home phototherapy visits for infants with jaundice are part of my services, allowing me to deliver essential care directly in the comfort of families' homes. By upholding the principles of "do no harm" and maintaining confidentiality, I aim to create a trusting environment where families feel supported and empowered throughout their postpartum period.

With nine years of experience assisting mothers and babies during their early days of motherhood, I have a deep understanding of the challenges many face. As a mother of three, I personally navigated my own struggles and felt the lack of support after bringing my little one home. My experience as a postpartum nurse revealed valuable insights about maternal and infant care that I wish I had known earlier, inspiring me to become an IBCLC. This journey allows me to provide the guidance and support that many mothers need to navigate their postpartum period while working to normalize breastfeeding and enhance overall maternal and infant health in our communities.

I am here to help you and your family navigate breastfeeding so that you can know what to expect, know how to handle the tough times, and always feel supported throughout your unique feeding journey.
